Item Attributes

If you are tired of regular armor or even enchanted armor and you want something more then you’ve come to the right place. Vox Populi has socket enhancements that you can put on certain types of armor. What are socket enhancements you ask? They are upgrades for armor that have super cool features traditional Minecraft can’t offer. There are features that set enemies on fire, strike foes with lightning, turn mobs into babies, and more! Some other features you can get are the ability to slow enemies down and steal their health as well. We’ll talk more about these awesome features later though. All of these features might also come back to hit you depending on the enhancement.

Curious where to get these beauties? Well, to start out you are going to need to find a piece of armor or weapon that has the ability to be socketed. When you hover your mouse over the piece of armor or weapon in your inventory it will say (socket) if there is room for enhancements. After that you’ll need to /warp downtown and head into the conquest shop. There is a villager that sells socket enhancements in there for conquest tokens. The only way to get socket enhancements are from other players if they sell them or from the villager downtown. They cannot be crafted.

There are three colors of socket enhancements: blue, green, and red. The item you have will show the word (socket) in one or more of those colors. Buy the enhancement that matches the color on the thing you want to enhance.

Adding Socket Enhancements

Once you get the color coordinated socket enhancement you’ll need to smelt the two pieces (your item and the enhancement) in a furnace to combine them. Place the Socket Enhancement in the bottom of the furnace. After that, put the unsocketed item in the top. If the colors match up the socket enhancement will be sucked into the furnace and the item will start to smelt. Once it’s finished the item will be in the output slot of the furnace just like any other thing you smelt. The item will then have the enhancement on it.

DO NOT take out the socketted item before it’s done smelting, otherwise the process will not work and you’ll waste the enhancement.

Unidentified Items

Unidentified items are special drops you can get with neat enchantments. They may or may not contain socket enhancement abilities as well. The stats that they have, however, are unidentified because of a curse placed on them so you’ll need to find a way to lift that curse.

What do they look like? Well they look like a normal armor or weapon, usually with a lot of damage. When you hover your mouse over them in your inventory you’ll see magic, scrolling letters and symbols that never seem to stop moving.

To lift the curse on these special items you’ll need an Identity Tome. These can be purchased in downtown Valeria Beach or also crafted with 3 books an eye of ender on a crafting table. Hold the Identity Tome in your hand while having the unidentified item in your inventory and right click. This will identify the first item you have in your inventory/hotbar. The tome will disappear with its use. Then you can see all of the stats the item has to offer!

Where can I find unidentified items?

These items can be found by mob drops, especially in Dark Cavern or dungeons. You also can trade these with other players so you might want to check the Global Market.
